This Votes for Women pin proudly waves in tribute to the woman suffrage movement. This pin is inspired by an original felt campaign pennant (1910-1920) in the collection of the New-York Historical Society. Originating in 1848 in Seneca Falls, NY, woman suffrage advocates worked to educate the public about the validity of female enfranchisement. New York women gained suffrage in 1917, and American women won full voting rights in 1920, with the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
